"The Office Tower Tales"
The University of Alberta Press
6in x 9in, 262pg

In designing the text layout for this project, the content was first broken down into number of lines per stanza and number of stanzas per poem. By doing this the text treatment could be designed so as to leave no blank pages and the fewest instances of single stanzas on a page. The grid had to support the prologues and epilogues which were written in five line stanzas, as well as the more loosely composed poetry which made up the tales themselves.

This book was designed to be modern in its approach to text and layout, yet to make subtle visual reference to classical poetry and the tradition to which the poetry aligned itself.
